Connect AI Assistants

Loom Loyalty runs a remote MCP server, so AI assistants can read and manage your loyalty program for you. You sign in with your Loom Loyalty account, and the assistant can only do what your role allows.

Server URL: https://mcp.loomloyalty.com/mcp

What the assistant can do

The server exposes the same actions as the API: programs, tiers, currencies, offers, targets, customers, audiences, event rules and flows, file exports, and event traces.

Tool calls count against your environment's rate limits, the same as the equivalent API calls.

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Enter the server URL above and choose Add.
  3. Choose Connect and sign in with your Loom Loyalty account.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector once for the whole organization.

ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors and turn on Developer mode under Advanced.
  2. Choose Create, name it "Loom Loyalty", and enter the server URL above.
  3. Choose OAuth for authentication, then sign in with your Loom Loyalty account.

Cursor and other MCP clients

Add the server to your client's MCP configuration. In Cursor, that is .cursor/mcp.json:

{
"mcpServers": {
"loom-loyalty": {
"url": "https://mcp.loomloyalty.com/mcp"
}
}
}

The client opens a browser window for you to sign in the first time it connects. Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth works the same way.

Example prompts

Each prompt below uses different tools. Try them in a development environment first.

  • "List my loyalty programs and the tiers in each one, with the points needed to reach each tier."
  • "Find the customer with external ID C-10042 and show their points balance and current tier."
  • "Create an offer called Double Points Weekend that gives 2x points on purchases from Friday to Sunday, but don't publish it yet."
  • "Backtest my Spend and Earn event rule against last month's events and tell me how many points it would have awarded."
  • "Why didn't customer C-10042 get points for their last purchase? Check the event traces."

Permissions and safety

  • The assistant acts as you. It can't see other organizations or do anything your role can't.
  • Most assistants ask you to approve a tool call before it runs. Keep that on for calls that change data, especially in production environments.
  • To disconnect, remove the connector in your assistant. Your API keys aren't affected.
