Environment Workflows

An environment workflow defines an approval process for environment operations. A coffee chain might have one workflow that requires a manager's sign-off before anything reaches production. You list your workflows here, create new ones and check their steps.

Before you start

You need permission to read environment workflows to see the page.

Find a workflow

  1. Open Organization and select Workflows.
  2. Search with the Search environment workflows... box.
  3. Read the table: Workflow (name and code), Status (Active or Inactive), Steps and Created.
  4. Select a row, or View details in its menu, to open the details panel.

The details panel shows the workflow's Steps in order, each with its name and type, or "No steps configured." It also shows timestamps and the workflow ID.

Create a workflow

  1. Select Create Workflow.
  2. Enter a Name and a Code.
  3. Select Create Workflow.

The workflow is created as active. Steps can be configured after creation.

Delete a workflow

  1. Select a workflow and choose Delete Workflow, or choose Delete in the row menu.
  2. Confirm with Delete. This can't be undone, and enabled policies that reference the workflow may lose their approval flow.
